Go off the beaten track into the remote and dramatic scenery of Samburu, dominated by rare wildlife species, such as the Reticulated Giraffe & Gerenuk, and the crocodile-infested Ewaso Nyiro River. Other notable wildlife includes Somali ostrich, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa oryx, lions, cheetahs, crocodiles, and leopards. This 165-square-kilometer reserve is home to some of Africa’s rarest flora and fauna and is preserved and operated by the resident Samburu communities.
